Tricia graduated from the Yale School of Medicine PA Program in 1986. She has been a hospital-based PA for most of her career, and in 1998 she was named Chief PA of the department of orthopedics at a community hospital in Connecticut where she remained until 2007, when she transitioned to private practice. In January 2009, Tricia served as the AAPA as Director of Reimbursement Advocacy from 2009 to 2017 and the staff liaison to the Joint Commission. Tricia was a staff senior consultant for CHLM for three years before returning to clinical practice but continues to serve as a CHLM consultant. Tricia has lectured extensively and has provided workshops and webinars on PA billing, reimbursement, hospital practice, utilization and productivity to a variety of audiences, including PAs, physicians, practice managers, billers and coders, quality and risk managers and underwriters. She completed a Master’s of Jurisprudence in Health Law at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and is certified in Healthcare Compliance-CHC®.
