• ABSTRACT
    • A case report of an avulsion fracture of the coracoid process associated with a type III acromioclavicular dislocation is presented. The mechanism of injury and results of treatment in eighteen previously reported cases in the English-language literature are reviewed. Both operative and nonoperative treatment appear to offer equally favorable results. The treatment of this rare combined injury may follow the same guidelines used for treating isolated type III acromioclavicular dislocations.
