This course is named in honor of Frank P. Cammisa Jr., MD, Chief Emeritus of HSS Spine at Hospital for Special Surgery and Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Cammisa specializes in the surgical treatment of spinal disorders. Over the past three decades at HSS, Dr. Cammisa has dedicated his career to research, education, and innovation to drive outstanding patient care. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed articles, educated more than 120 clinical fellows, and been a leader in bringing new technologies to spine surgery. His clinical areas of expertise include minimally invasive spinal surgery, robotic-assisted spinal surgery, and motion-preserving procedures.
