• ABSTRACT
    • Injuries of the distal forearm region demand careful examination in children if green stick fractures or dislocations of the epiphysis with spontaneous reduction are not to be overlooked. The treatment should be principally conservative with a plaster splint including the elbow joint following reduction. Exact and repeated radiological controls are necessary because of loss of reduction is not infrequent. Operative treatment is indicated in cases of any obstruction to reduction, inadequate reduction of fractures with epiphysis involvement, open fractures with marked dislocation and for the correction of axial and rotational deformities.
