A 22-year-old male presents to the emergency department trauma bay with pain in his left leg after a motorcycle accident prior to arrival. He is neurovascularly intact but a deformity is noted. You suspect a proximal third tibial shaft fracture which is confirmed on the radiographs seen in Figure A. You plan for an intramedullary nail with Poller screws proposed in the locations marked by the red dots in Figure A.
