Gamma4 Design Intermediate Nail The Gamma4 Intermediate Nail is 240mm long and has a 4º ML bend and 3º AP bend. Diameter options include 9,10,11,12 and 13mm. The shaft radius of curvature is approximately 750mm. The distance from the proximal end of the nail to the Lag Screw is identical to the Trochanteric Nail and Long Nail. Smaller Proximal Size Proximal diameter of Ø15.5mm Proximal body is 5mm shorter and beveled for less trochanteric protrusion Optional end caps available Distal Locking One static hole that accepts Advanced Locking Screws, as well as standard Locking Screws One oblong hole that accepts Locking Screws only Total Nail Length: 240mm Distal Diameters: ∅ 9, 10, 11, 12, 13mm ML Bend: 4° AP Bend: 3° Radius of curvature: 0.75mAP Bend: 3° Material: Titanium (Ti6Al4V) Ti Anodization: Type II Medial Bevel for Nail Insertion Ø5.0mm Locking or Advanced Locking screws The oblong hole only accepts Locking Screws Indications The Gamma4 System is indicated for the treatment of stable and unstable fractures as well as for stabilization of bones and correction of bone deformities in the intracapsular, trochanteric, subtrochanteric and shaft regions of the femur (including osteoporotic and osteopenic bone). The RC Lag Screw is also indicated for rotationally unstable fractures.
