Biography

Dr. Lynch is the Founder and Principal of Advisorthopædics Incorporated, a consultancy exclusively focused on innovation in orthopedics. She has more than 25 years of experience in the clinical and business elements of orthopedics. Her firm provides expert consultation to a wide range of entities developing and delivering products and services to the orthopedics industry. Clients include private and public companies in the life sciences developing biopharmaceutical, medical device, and regenerative orthobiologic technologies. Additionally, she works closely with contract research organizations and healthcare investors in pursuit of the same. Complementing her consulting practice, she is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand’s Commercial Support Committee, Innovation Park at Notre Dame’s Private Sector Advisory Committee, and the Gigot Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board. After spending eight years as a practicing surgeon performing surgery for complex hand and wrist conditions, she entered venture capital, first at the Aurora Funds and later as a principal of the healthcare investment team at Scale Venture Partners. Recently, she served as Chief Medical Officer for a private orthopedic company where, among her responsibilities, she supervised the day-to-day operations of the clinical team in charge of conducting the company’s US Phase 3 trial. Additionally, she was instrumental in the company’s December 2014 Initial Public Offering. Dr. Lynch is a Board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. She earned her medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, then completed her residency at the Mayo Clinic and her fellowship training at the Indiana Hand Center. After entering practice, she continued her surgical studies in Switzerland at the AO Foundation. Subsequently, she earned her M.B.A. at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
