Dr. Russell Russo is an orthopedic surgeon in New Orleans, Louisiana who is fellowship trained in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, and double board certified. He completed his training in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital where he worked with the best minds in the field. While in Houston, Dr. Russo was a team physician for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, and Houston Dynamo. He also took great pride in serving as assistant team physician to Rice University Athletics, including the Rice Football 2014 Hawaii Bowl Champions. Dr. Russo also served as a physician for NASA at the Johnson Space Center, helping the next generation of Astronauts prepare for an eventual mission to Mars.
