Dr. Akhtar is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons (ABOS) and has over ten years of experience in the field of Orthopedics. His clinical interests include robotic-assisted partial knee resurfacing, robotic-assisted hip replacement, computer-navigated knee and hip replacement, and minimally invasive hip and knee replacement. Dr. Akhtar completed Medical School at Tufts University School of Medicine. His post-graduate training in Orthopedic Surgery was completed at Henry Ford Health System. After his residency, Dr. Akhtar pursued a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital. He joined the Orthopedic Group in 2011.
