Michael Polmear is a US Army orthopaedic trauma surgeon. He earned bachelor and master's degrees in chemical and biological engineering prior to medical school at Uniformed Services University. His completed residency in El Paso, TX at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. His research interests are techniques, outcomes, and biomaterials in polytrauma, acetabular fractures, peri-articular fractures, limb salvage, arthroplasty reconstructions, and efficiency in health care. He practices in El Paso, TX where he trains with residents and provides trauma care to DoD beneficiaries and at local centers.
