Daniel J. Gallagher, MD, is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. After graduating in 1990, he finished an orthopaedic residency with the LSU Medical Center in New Orleans before joining the Bone and Joint Clinic in 1995. He is a member of the A?A Medical Honor Society and the Clinical Orthopedic Society. He is a past president of the Jefferson Parish Medical Society, Greater New Orleans Orthopedic Society, and the Louisiana Orthopedic Association. He has been a member of the Governor’s Worker’s Compensation Advisory Council since 2008, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery’s Board of Counselors and the LSU Medical School Alumni Board. He is board certified in orthopedics, specializing in total knee and total hip replacements with a special interest in the more minimally invasive anterior approach. Dr. Gallagher is a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area and a member of the “Westbank” community since 2000.
