I graduated from the University of Aberdeen School of Medicine in Scotland in July 2004 after completing the 5 year undergraduate medical degree (MBChB). I undertook my intern year in Aberdeen before doing four 6 month surgical resident jobs first in SE England and then back in Scotland in Edinburgh and Glasgow. I emigrated to Australia in August 2007 and after briefly working in Queensland in Orthopaedics, I have been an Orthopaedic Registrar in Sydney since January 2008. I was appointed to the Northside NSW Orthopaedic Training Program in 2012 and graduated in February 2018 on being awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. After completing fellowships in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery, I was appointed as a full-time Orthopaedic Specialist Surgeon with Queensland Health in February 2020.
