Thomas Darden, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon trained in both general and total joint orthopaedics. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Darden serves patients in the Albany, Georgia, community at Orthopaedic Associates, specializing in sports medicine. A Tennessee native, Dr. Darden has been passionate about orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine since graduating from Quillen-Dishner College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee, 1987. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Louisville Area Hospitals in Kentucky. In 1992, Dr. Darden launched his own private orthopaedic practice with Orthopaedic Associates, where he continues to see patients today. Dr. Darden has a wide range of orthopaedic interests, including musculoskeletal trauma treatment, the diagnosis and treatment of knee pain, fractures, and shoulder pain, and total joint replacement. With more than 30 years of experience as an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Darden continues to make the comfort, care, and treatment of his patients his top priority. Dr. Darden is a member of the Medical Association of Georgia and the American Medical Association. When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Darden enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and four children.
