Dr. Mathur was born in Honolulu, Hawaii before moving to and growing up in Holland, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate degree in neuroscience and biological anthropology at the University of Michigan. From there, he spent some time working as an EMT before attending medical school at Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He then moved to Washington, D.C., and completed his orthopedic residency at GW University. Other than work, he enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and exploring outside with his wife, Rafeya.
