I studied at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. I then trained in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), in Philadelphia. At UPenn I had the privilege of learning directly from internationally recognized thought leaders who served as incredible mentors. I went on to receive sub-specialty training in hand and microsurgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, and again I learned from phenomenal mentors. To those who trained me, I am deeply grateful. I now work in private practice in San Francisco with a mission to serve my community and provide the highest level of care regardless of case complexity. I see it as the highest honor and privilege to care for those who are sick and injured. I take care of any injuries from the elbow down to the finger tips including nerve injuries, and complex wounds, or common hand related issues. I enthusiastically participate in education and research where possible with the the philosophy that giving a person a fish is not nearly as good as teaching them how to fish. I think for physicians and surgeons any lasting impact we might have is through the care of our patients, education of the next generation and improving our knowledge base and care delivery through discovery and efficiency implementation, all of which can be passed on to the next generation.
