I grew up here in Springfield, IL and am extremely grateful to have such a well-rounded Orthopedic residency program in my backyard. As a SIU medical student, I was able to really get to know the program before applying. During my rotation, I recognized that this is a collegial, tight-knit group of residents who work well together. I saw the immense talent and expertise of the two high volume private practice groups and witnessed their dedication to teaching residents. It was obvious to me that SIU graduates are highly competent orthopedic surgeons ready for either private practice or top-notch fellowships. Most importantly, Springfield is my home and I am honored to have the opportunity to care for my community.
