Biography

Kyle Wilson, M.D. is fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine and completed training at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He completed Orthopaedic Residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, and finished his surgical internship at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. Dr. Wilson acquired his M.D. at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, and his B.S. in Molecular Biology, B.A. in Chemistry, magna cum laude at Texas Lutheran University, Seguin, TX. Dr. Wilson has received Honors and Awards including the UTMB Department of Orthopedics Outstanding Resident Award, Orthopedic In-Training Exam High Score Award, Golden Bone Excellence in Teaching Award, Excellence in Resident Research Award, Orthopedic In-Training Exam Master Award, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Gold Humanism Honor Society, Dr. Walter Junius Hildebrand Academic and Service Scholarship, Shriner’s Summer Research Scholarship, Texas Lutheran's University Outstanding Service Award, and the American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference. His local, national, and international service includes affiliation with the UTMB Orthopedic Residency Curriculum Committee, A Medical Mission in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, designation as an AAOS Resident Assembly Program delegate, and a month-long medical mission at Maua Methodist Medical Center in Maua, Kenya.
