I am an orthopedic surgeon with specialized training in hip and knee replacements. I earned my undergraduate and medical degrees from Columbia University, where I was a four-year member of the varsity women’s basketball team and graduated magna cum laude. Following medical school, I completed a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery at Boston University. I then pursued additional sub-specialty training in reconstructive surgery of the adult hip and knee at the University of California, Los Angeles, where I had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the field. I joined Kaiser Permanente because I am passionate about providing high quality, affordable health care to my patients and consider it a tremendous privilege to be able to serve this community alongside this amazing team of providers. Roles and Responsibilities My purpose at Kaiser Permanente is to help patients with debilitating hip and knee arthritis return to the activities and quality of life that they enjoy most. Whether that means starting with conservative treatment modalities such as physical therapy, injections, and medications, or considering surgery when the aforementioned treatments no longer seem to help, I work with each patient individually to identify their unique goals and to formulate the optimal treatment plan to help them achieve those goals in a safe and effective manner. Hobbies and interests As a Bay Area native, I love spending time outdoors soaking in the natural beauty that our great state has to offer. I also enjoy hiking, reading, traveling, as well as playing and watching sports.
