Practicing at Mayo Clinic’s Rochester, Minnesota, location, Dr. Jonathan Barlow specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery, with an emphasis on management of traumatic shoulder and elbow injuries. His research and publications have addressed salvage operations for massive rotator cuff tears, treatment options for proximal humerus fractures, and shoulder arthroplasty. In the OR, he uses advanced techniques in open and arthroscopic surgery. In addition to his clinical practice and research activities, Dr. Barlow is involved in education and administration at Mayo Clinic. He is program director for the orthopaedic surgery residency program, overseeing the education of 60 residents, and he is chair of the Diversity Committee and the Recruitment Committee.
