Dr. Owen McGonigle was born and raised in a suburb of Boston, MA. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame. After graduation, he returned to Boston where he earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2010 and then completed his five year orthopedic residency through the Tufts Affiliated Orthopaedic Residency Program in 2015. During his time in residency he developed a passion for sports medicine and treating athletes of all ages. After completing residency, Dr. McGonigle elected to proceed with further education as a sports medicine physician and traveled to Birmingham, AL for advanced training in arthroscopic reconstructive procedures and sports medicine at the American Sports Medical Institute. While there, he had the opportunity to learn under some of the foremost leaders in the field. In his free time, Dr. McGonigle enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his wife and four children.
