Apostolos N. Ilias is an orthopedic surgeon, a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2002. He received his specialty title in Orthopedics in 2012. He has 5 years of further training and work in the UK as a specialist Orthopedic Surgeon. He has worked in the Orthopedic Departments of Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust, subspecializing in Adult and Pediatric Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Ankle & Foot, Shoulder & Elbow and General Trauma Surgery. During his work in the UK he trained in modern techniques of Arthroscopic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery of the Hip, Knee and Shoulder. In addition, he has given numerous lectures and trained younger Orthopedics and Medical students. His scientific work is remarkable and rich, with participation in dozens of conferences and seminars in Greece and abroad, and he has numerous oral communications and publications. Upon his return to Greece, orthopaedist Apostolos N. Ilias, in addition to his practice in Glyfada, collaborates with the Mediterraneo, Metropolitan, Metropolitan General Hospitals, the Athens Medical Center Group and remains a scientific partner of the Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust.
