I am a Partner/Attending Physician at Sports Trauma, a leading center for sports medicine and joint reconstruction in Mexico. With over 15 years of experience in orthopedics, I specialize in shoulder and elbow surgery, and I treat patients with sports-related, degenerative, or immunological joint injuries. I have a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and I am a National Investigator Level 1 recognized by the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT) of Mexico. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a Consultant for Zimmer Biomet, ConMed, and DePuy Synthes, where I advise on surgical techniques and products for shoulder and elbow reconstruction. I am also a Co-Founder/Partner of Traumatología Deportiva de México, and an Attending Physician at the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación. I am passionate about research and education, and I have completed multiple fellowships, including the Arthroscopy Association of North America Traveling Fellowship. I am a Professor of the Masters Degree in Medical Sciences at UNAM, an Editorial Board Member of the Arthroscopy Journal and Orthopedic Journal of Sports Medicine, and a Reviewer of the American Journal of Sports Medicine and the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. I have been a President and a Vice President of the Sociedad Mexicana de Cirujanos de Hombro y Codo (Mexican Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons), and I am a member of several national and international orthopedic associations. I regularly lecture at national and international meetings, and I am an Associate Professor of the Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Fellowship at Club Universidad Nacional, Hospital Ángeles Metropolitano, and UNAM. My mission is to advance the field of sports trauma and reconstruction, and to improve the outcomes and quality of life of my patients.
