Biography

Dr. Gregory Sirounian grew up with a physician in his family and witnessed firsthand how he was able to help people with injuries and positively impact their lives. As a high school and college student, Dr. Sirounian enjoyed the sciences but also appreciated his liberal arts education. He determined that a career in medicine would be a good fit for him, allowing him to pursue a lifelong education in science and apply his more human interests to his career. For Dr. Sirounian, medicine offers the right combination of science and humanities to keep his work interesting and rewarding. Dr. Sirounian specializes almost entirely in hip and knee replacement surgery, including computer-assisted and robotic joint replacement. This technology acts as a navigation system, helping to streamline and ensure precision in joint replacement surgery. He also specializes in complex revision surgery for older hip and knee implants that have worn out or become infected. While technical skills and technological advancements are very important, he believes the greatest way he can help his patients is with his nontechnical skills—engaging, educating, and empowering patients and their families. By developing safe, patient-centered care programs, he's able to help patients recover faster, more effectively, and with fewer complications than in past years.
