Dennis Chang, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, with more than two decades of experience in hip replacement and knee replacement surgery. With a passion for innovation, Dr. Chang provides his patients with individualized, often minimally invasive, treatment plans designed to get them back to their active lifestyles quickly and fully. His training, experience and focus on quality outcomes allow his patients to experience fewer complications and more complete recoveries. “My hip is great; I just wish I had the operation sooner. The recovery was shorter than expected!” Dr. Chang’s interest in medicine, and specifically orthopedics, began at a young age when he fractured his arm during a track meet in his native Chicago. The ensuing encounter with an orthopedic surgeon sparked his lifelong passion for advancing orthopedic surgery and helping patients get back to the activities they love without enduring long recovery times. “Dr. Chang has replaced both of my knees. I am able to do all of the things I love most...swimming, running, bicycling, and chasing after grandchildren!” After receiving his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL, Dr. Chang completed orthopedic surgery training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He then furthered his specialization with a fellowship in adult total reconstruction at the Rush Medical College. In addition to academic experience and clinical expertise, Dr. Chang has won awards for his medical writing, authoring orthopedic research papers that have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Together, they enjoy the Colorado lifestyle with skiing, hiking and cycling.
