Percutaneous Fixation of Lateral Condyle Fracture

Plays: 1977

Video Description

Lateral condyle fractures, if undertreated, can have devastating consequences for the child's elbow, including deformity, instability, and stiffness. For fractures with minimal to moderate displacement, an arthrogram is required to determine intra-articular extension. If the fracture is gapped 2 mm or more, but the joint cartilage remains intact, a closed reduction and percutaneous pinning is recommended.
