In this short video, Dr. LaPrade demonstrates a clinical knee exam using the KT-1000 Arthrometer Testing Device. This particular device measures anterior and posterior translation of the tibia (shinbone) relative to the femur (thighbone). This test is used to measure knee laxity and looseness, as well as displacement. It is often used in conjunction with a thorough physical exam and an MRI in some cases.
