Shuck Test | Lunotriquetral Ballottement Test | Wrist Instability

Video Description

-- PURPOSE --
Assess for wrist instability

-- PATIENT POSITION --
Sitting with forearm and hand placed on the table

-- TECHNIQUE --
? Place one thumb over the dorsum aspect of the patient's lunate
? Place the thumb of the other hand on the adjacent triquetrum
? Stabilize the lunate while performing a dorsal and palmar glide of the triquetrum

-- POSITIVE TEST --
Increase in laxity compared to the contralateral side and/or reproduction of pain
